Breathtakingly Beautiful

I first discovered Alex Romans work a bit over a year ago. I watched a short film titled “The Third & The Seventh” which I really loved (still do) because of its calm beauty and the way it portraits architecture.
However, at that time I didn’t really understand what I was seeing there. But a short time later I stumbled upon the making-of and the compositing breakdown and then it hit me: Basically everything – and I mean e v e r y t h i n g – you see in this short is CGI. And suddenly an impressive piece of film became breathtaking. I’m sure when you take a look at this short teaser you’ll understand my reaction:

Now Alex Roman did a 60″ tv spot for Grupo Consentino. This time its not architecture, its food. And again I’m in awe:

I have spent a lot of time inside Cinema 4D and AE and this stuff is simply breathtaking. His use of DoF is stunning. Hard to believe this is all CGI. Great stuff
Absolutely
If you haven’t already, take a look at the compositing breakdown or for the technical side of it watch the making-of. Amazing!
