A Handmade Flip Book Story

Of course you can spend 100 Million Dollar or more to produce a romantic date movie with fantasy elements. No big deal really. Or you take just a flip book, markers and some music and create the most gorgeous and compelling love story. Streamcipher went for the second option and created Vines, a sweet video of a handmade flip book to surprise his girlfriend on her birthday.
I guess I’m a romantic after all:
Most of it was just whatever was suited to my artistic (in)abilities, the music tempo, and the general theme of the flip book (overcoming difficulties together I guess?).
Like, the vines just sorta came to mind as a convenient metaphor for the difficulties, and the balloon was mostly just an excuse for the water part at the quiet portion of the song, etc. The stuff at the end was a combination of things we’ve done together, and things we’ve talked about doing, to express how it’s far from over.
